In this video, I have introduced 6 commonly used Chinese Medicine Herbs to treat dysentery, skin abscess, eczema and suppurative diseases such as ear infections and boils. These herbs are listed in the “Clear Heat Dry Dampness” subcategory in our Chinese Medicine Textbooks.
The common indications to prescribe these herbs are to treat jaundice, burning diarrhea, dysentery, hemorrhoids, pain and fullness in the flank area, bitter taste in the mouth, painful urination, genital itching, yellow turbid and foul vaginal discharge. Other manifestions include eczema, abscess, swelling, ear infection and suppurative diseases.
Due to their effectiveness in controlling supurative diseases by fighting bacterial infections, some of these herbs are being extracted and used nowadays in the Western World to treat vaginal trichomoniasis, impedigo, scabies and leprosy.
I hope you enjoyed watching this video and gained a different perspective on how the Ancient Chinese developed our Traditional Chinese Medicine System by experimenting and using herbs to control and combat suppurative diseases and infections over the past 5000 years.
