Skin Abscess Eczema and Chinese Herbal Medicine

In this video, I have introduced 6 commonly used Chinese Medicine Herbs to treat dysentery, skin abscess, eczema and suppurative diseases such as ear infections and boils. These herbs are listed in the “Clear Heat Dry Dampness” subcategory in our Chinese Medicine Textbooks.

Common indications:

The common indications to prescribe these herbs are to treat jaundice, burning diarrhea, dysentery, hemorrhoids, pain and fullness in the flank area, bitter taste in the mouth, painful urination, genital itching, yellow turbid and foul vaginal discharge. Other manifestions include eczema, abscess, swelling, ear infection and suppurative diseases.

Due to their effectiveness in controlling supurative diseases by fighting bacterial infections, some of these herbs are being extracted and used nowadays in the Western World to treat vaginal trichomoniasis, impedigo, scabies and leprosy.
