Welcome to Mississauga Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine at Mississauga Bioenergetics. Thanks for your interest in the services we provide – a combination of Acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Bioenergetic Testing and nutritional counselling.
My name is Bernadette Yu. I’m an Ontario Registered Acupuncturist & Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner who has completed a rigorous 5 year hands-on advanced training program in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. I am also a trained Biomeridian Technician and a Holistic Nutritionist. As well as working in my own practice, I lecture in Chinese Herbal Medicine to students at the Toronto School of Traditional Chinese Medicine. I have also worked for a number of years as a volunteer providing pain alleviation in a palliative care facility and in addition to treating health issues and concerns, I offer pain relief, fertility, cancer and stroke recovery using various TCM modalities.
I approach each patient as an individual with specific concerns and needs, developing a treatment plan which is specific to you as a patient. I make a practice of clearly explaining my treatment plan to my patients, explaining what I am doing, why and what the expected results are. I find that explaining Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine treatment protocols, and the reasoning behind them, in a way that my patients can understand and follow is of great value to patients, as Traditional Chinese Medicine is not as well understood as Western Medicine.
